Remember a time when you were immersed in nature, whether in the middle of a redwood forest or at the coast looking at the ocean. Take the image to the right as an example of both, the coastline of Big Sur, arguably among the most beautiful places in the world where land meets the sea. To breathe the fresh air in the forest, or the salt air of the sea, it not only naturally invigorates us with the great feeling of being out in the middle of nature, it takes you to a different space. To feel the awe and wonder of nature, away from whatever occupies your mental space when in your day to day world. What follows are several videos for you, the first from one of my favorate videographers, Louis Schwartzberg, who beautifully uses slow motion and time lapse videography to bring us amazing images of the magic in nature.
Then for you are samples of my own videos that combine scenes of nature with audio tracks to let you virtually take a few journeys into nature. Much more on a sister website I created, www.NatureToHealing.com, a collection of notable quotes on nature, articles, websites, and more videos to view. This all came about with my introduction to distraction therapy, practiced at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, to help distract children patients from the angst of their illness to the awe and wonder of nature in my book Imagery to Life, and more at www.ImageryToLife.com.

We live in a world of unseeable beauty, so subtle and delicate that it is imperceptible to the human eye. To bring this invisible world to light, filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg bends the boundaries of time and space with high-speed cameras, time lapses and microscopes. At TED2014, he shares highlights from his latest project, a 3D film titled "Mysteries of the Unseen World," which slows down, speeds up, and magnifies the astonishing wonders of nature.
